On Friday, 15th November, we had the immense honor of attending The Great British Care Awards 2024 Regional event for the South East England region, held in Brighton. This prestigious event is a hallmark of excellence in the social care industry, recognizing the dedication, innovation, and outstanding contributions of individuals and teams who make a meaningful difference in the lives of those they support. It was a proud moment for us as we celebrated our incredible achievement of receiving nine nominations across seven categories, a testament to the passion and hard work of our team.

The awards serve as a powerful reminder of the values that drive our work every day—person-centered care, compassion, empathy, trust, dignity, and independence. Each of our nominees reflects these principles in everything they do, embodying a deep commitment to delivering quality care.

The evening became even more special when we celebrated the success of Claire Dodds, who was named the winner of The Home Care Coordinator Award. Claire’s journey with us began on 15th September 2014, when she joined as a Night Care Assistant. Over the years, her dedication and passion have shone brightly, and she now serves as our Leisure and Lifestyle Coordinator. Along the way, she has pursued valuable training, becoming a Dementia Champion and earning her Care Certificate and VRQ in Dementia. Claire’s belief in the care she provides is at the heart of her motivation, and her passion is evident in her motto: “I’m passionate about things I truly believe in, and I believe in the care I provide within the home.”

Claire’s win is a moment of pride for all of us, and as she moves on to The Great British Care Awards Final, we send her our heartfelt congratulations and best wishes. The evening was a beautiful celebration of the dedication, hard work, and impact that each member of our team brings. We are proud of every individual who was nominated and grateful for the opportunity to share in this recognition of excellence in care.
