Walmer Care CentreMeet The TeamJill Hyland – Registered ManagerI started as a health care assistant straight from college in 2003. I am currently in my 14th years with the home. I worked at the Lodge until 2007 when Nicholas James purchased the Lodge and Mead whom make up Walmer Care Centre. I gradually progressed within the homes to senior, Deputy and the Registered Manager. I have NVQ Levels 2, 3 & 4 and my Registered Manager Award; I am currently doing my QCF 5 to help keep my knowledge fresh and up to date. Joanne Allen – Deputy ManagerHas been with the home since 17th August 2015. Jo has NVQ Levels 2 and 3 and is working on her Level 3 Management Course. Recently promoted to Deputy Manager position Jo is also currently undertaking Dementia Care Matters training and is excited about developing Walmer's services through her newly learnt skills. Wendy Pitcher – Deputy ManagerI have worked for Nicholas James Care Homes for 10 years. I am a trained Dementia Mapper, NVQ Level 3, Business, Customer Service and Communication courses. Team Leader Level 2 and now doing my Team Leader and Management Level 3. Karen Kirk- Head of careI have worked at Walmer Care Centre for 18 years. In these 18 years I have worked up to be a Head of Care. I have NVQ Level 2 and 3, Level 2 Palliative Care, Level 2 Team Leading and now I am doing my Level 3 Team Leader and Management Jocelyn Malaure – CookHas been at the home since 1998, I left for a short period in 2000 but returned. I have a City and Guilds, NVQ Level 2 in Health and Social Care, NCFE Level 2 Certificate in Dementia Awareness, Food Hygiene. I have a passion for cooking and making sure my residents have a nutritious and quality meals. I enjoy what I do as a carer and a cook. Mark Skinner- CookI have been with the home for 20 years. I have a city and guilds 706/1 and 2 and a BTEC Level 3 in kitchen management and supervision. Collette Eldridge – Leisure and Lifestyle Co-ordinator. I began working at Walmer Care Centre in 2007. I started as a carer and I have been the LLC at Walmer since June 2015. I have complete a NVQ 2 and NAPA level 2.
