Anna Hawkins of Edward House has been highly commended the prestigious The Great British Care Awards 2025 in the category of Newcomer Award

At Edward House, we are incredibly proud to celebrate one of our newest team members, Anna Hawkins, who has been Highly Commended in the Newcomer Award category at the Great British Care Awards South East Region.

Although Anna joined us only in February 2025, she has already made a remarkable impact on residents, families, and colleagues alike. From her very first day as a Care Assistant, it was clear that Anna embodies the true spirit of compassionate care. Her gentle approach, natural empathy, and willingness to learn make her an exceptional addition to our care community.

Anna’s personal motto, “Caring with the heart,” is reflected in everything she does. Whether offering reassurance during a difficult moment or bringing comfort through genuine connection, she approaches each resident with kindness and respect. What motivates her most is simple yet powerful — helping others and caring for others.

While still early in her journey with us, Anna is already looking ahead to her professional development and is preparing to begin her NVQ3 qualification. Her drive to grow and improve is a testament to the dedication she brings to her role each day.

Being Highly Commended in such a meaningful category is a wonderful recognition of Anna’s talent, compassion, and potential. We are delighted to have her as part of our Edward House family and excited to support her as she continues to thrive in her career.
