Lauren Traveller

Registered Manager

View Bio
I have been employed in the care sector since 2010, beginning my journey as a Care Assistant in one of our other services. During this time, I developed a deep passion for caregiving and realised the profound impact it can have on people’s lives. This passion led me to progress into the role of Deputy Manager, where I gained invaluable leadership experience. I then went on to achieve my NVQ Level 5, which allowed me to take on the responsibility of Registered Manager at Eastfield. In this role, I am driven by the knowledge that I am making a tangible difference in the lives of both residents and staff. I find immense fulfilment in seeing the joy and smiles on the faces of those living at Eastfield, knowing that I contribute to their well-being every day. My motivation is rooted in the connections I’ve built with the people I care for and lead, and I am committed to fostering an environment where everyone feels valued, safe, and supported.

Terri Simmonds

Deputy Manager

View Bio
I began my career as a carer during the height of the pandemic, a time when many were facing unprecedented challenges and fears. Supporting the vulnerable elderly during such a difficult period not only solidified my passion for care, but also gave me a sense of purpose in making a tangible difference to those most in need. Over the years, I have worked in a variety of care settings, ranging from supporting individuals with learning difficulties to those requiring complex nursing care. Each role has broadened my experience and deepened my understanding of the diverse needs of those in my care. In 2024, I took the next step in my career by joining Eastfield as Deputy Manager. I am currently completing my NVQ Level 5 to further develop my management and leadership skills, ensuring I can provide the best possible service to both residents and staff. One of the aspects I truly love about my role is getting to know each resident as an individual—learning their likes, preferences, and life stories. This personal connection helps me ensure they receive care tailored to their needs. Ultimately, I am motivated by the smiles and happiness of our residents, knowing that I am making a positive impact on their daily lives. There is nothing more rewarding than being part of their journey and contributing to their well-being.

Georgia Morris

Activity Coordinator

My husband needed respite care while I was in hospital for a hip operation. He enjoyed his stay so much, taking part in activities, friends to talk and kind, caring staff to look after him, that he decided he wanted to stay. That was three and a half years ago and he now regards Eastfield as his home. I visit regularly and am always warmly welcomed and I can rest assured he is receiving the very best of care.

Wife of Resident

Eastfield is a wonderful care home, because everything is done to make residents feel at home, while making sure they receive all the care they need. Numerous events are run to ensure residents are properly entertained. A measure of a good home is the number of staff to residents ratio and the length of service of carers, Eastfield score well on both counts.
