Kerry Johnson

Registered Manager

I joined Nicholas James Care Home’s in June 2000 as a part time care assistant. The company was supportive, and I enjoyed working in such a friendly environment. In 2007, my career progressed to deputy manager, this supporting role gave me everything I needed to further my career and in 2014 I became the registered manager for Dale Lodge & Dale Mount! I am a very dedicated and loyal person when it comes to both family and work, I always look for team members that are honest, accountable, have integrity and good principles. Together, we enable residents to be who they are as individuals and provide peace of mind to families by ensuring everyone is treated with the upmost respect and dignity. I am extremely honoured and privileged to be a part of this established company.

I began working at Dale Lodge/Mount Care Home in 2017 as a Health Care Assistant. Through dedication, continuous learning, and a passion for delivering high-quality care, I progressed to the role of Team Leader. My commitment to supporting both residents and staff led to my promotion to Deputy Manager, where I took on greater responsibilities. My journey at Dale Lodge/Mount has provided me with valuable experience in leadership, team coordination, and person-centred care.

I strive to ensure that all my clients feel happy, safe and understood, going above and beyond to ensure their days are enriching, full of fun, laughter and love. I am absolutely delighted to have not only won the regional award for the The Great British Care Awards but also the finals in Birmingham for Activity Organiser! These awards not only represent my journey, but the journey of those I have the pleasure of working with everyday!
Very happy with my mum’s care. All staff are supportive and caring. Management are easy to contact and deal with queries quickly. My mum has settled in well. There are activities that take place every day and my mum especially enjoys bingo, singing/dancing and visits from the local nursery and therapy dogs!

Daughter of Resident

My husband has advanced Alzheimer’s. He is looked after with care, consideration and sympathy. The staff are very friendly towards me when I visit and answer any questions I might have. I am always informed when a doctor is called to him and fully informed of any results. I am very happy with the care he receives and would recommend Dale Mount to anyone looking for care for a loved one.
