Collette Eldridge of Walmer Care Centre has been awarded the prestigious KICA Kent Care Awards 2025 in the category of Ancillary Award – Frontline Support Staff
We are delighted to share some fantastic news from the Kent Integrated Care Alliance (KICA) Kent Care Awards 2025, held on Friday, 6th September.
Our very own Collette Eldridge, Activities and Lifestyle Coordinator at Walmer Care Centre, has been honoured with the Ancillary Award: Frontline Support Staff – and we couldn’t be prouder!
Collette has been a valued member of our team since September 2007, beginning her journey with us as a Healthcare Assistant before finding her calling in activities and lifestyle coordination. Over the years, she has continued to grow and learn, completing her NVQ Level 2, NAPA training, Daily Sparkle training, and Pilgrims Hospice Touch Therapy.
Her dedication shines through in everything she does. Collette believes:
“Smiles are contagious – if you smile at someone, they’ll smile back. It’s all about making a moment count, no matter how big or small.”
This philosophy guides her every day as she creates joyful, meaningful experiences for our residents, supporting not only their care but their overall happiness and wellbeing.
The award is a true reflection of Collette’s passion, commitment, and the positive impact she makes on the lives of residents and colleagues alike. She embodies the very best of what it means to work in care – compassion, creativity, and heart.
We are so proud to have her as part of the Walmer Care Centre and the wider Nicholas James Care Homes family.
